Autumn

Reception had a wonderful time enjoying all the fun that autumn brought. We loved collecting colourful leaves and visiting our local park, where we explored the changes in nature together. In class, we enjoyed reading autumn stories, especially The Leaf Thief, which sparked lots of excitement and discussions. The children were very creative when making their own autumn wreaths using natural materials. We also used autumn resources to support our number work collecting and counting conkers to develop our early maths skills. To finish the season, we explored pumpkins through sensory play, scooping, smelling and touching them before using them to make delicious pumpkin soup. It was a joyful season full of hands-on learning and autumn adventures.
