Thursday 16th July - After 25 wonderful years at our school, we would like to thank Mrs Niland for her dedication, kindness, and unwavering support. Throughout her time with us, she has helped and inspired hundreds of children, making a lasting difference in so many lives. We are incredibly grateful for everything she has done and wish her a long, happy, and well-deserved retirement filled with health, happiness, and many new adventures. Thank you, Mrs Niland—you will be greatly missed.
Wednesday 15th July - Our Year 6 Leavers' Mass was a beautiful and memorable occasion as we came together to celebrate and say goodbye to our wonderful Year 6 pupils. Families and friends joined us, alongside the whole school, for this special service led by Father Pat. Together, we reflected on the many happy memories, achievements, and friendships made throughout their time at school, while wishing our Year 6 children every success and happiness as they begin the next exciting chapter of their journey. We are so proud of each and every one of them and know they will continue to shine wherever they go.
Wednesday 15th July - Our World Cup Assembly was a fantastic celebration of teamwork, sportsmanship, and positive behaviour! After our successful token draw, every child had the exciting opportunity to choose a prize to take home. It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces as we celebrated everyone's achievements and recognised the fantastic effort shown throughout the term. Well done to all of our children for making this such a special occasion!
Monday 13th July - Today our guitar players performed for the school and their families in a special assembly. The children have been learning to play the guitar through the year in special music lessons. They performed a number of pieces and showed off their skills! Well done to all our performers.
Wednesday 8th July - Today was 'Red Day!' Our MUFC coach, Waz, organised an excellent Red Day today for all children in school. Each class spent some time on the field taking part in a variety of events from hurdles to egg and spoon races! The heat didn't stop us and parents and families were all welcome to watch.
Friday 3rd July - Today our clarinet and flute players performed a special assembly to the school, celebrating their successes over the last 12 months. They impressed us with their progress. Well done everybody!

Wednesday 1st July - Today we attended Mass at St Alphonsus Church. Whilst we were there, Father Pat blessed all our Pals of St Als and Mini Vinnies.
Friday 19th June - Today we held our culture day. Children rotated around the classes, visiting a different country/culture each time. They travelled the world and experienced music, art, food and culture from around the globe!
Monday 15th June - The entire school celebrated the start of the World Cup today by parading flags around the playground! Excitement is building as we prepare to watch England play their matches and we celebrate the coming together of the world through a common sport!
Friday 22nd May - Well done to Amanda in Year 6 who recently won a poster competition following the Year 6 trip to Crucial Crew. Amanda's poster was picked as the winner and she was presented with a voucher by two local police. Well done Amanda!
Thursday 21st May - The Mini Vinnies and Year 3 hosted the Pentecost Party this afternoon. All classes enjoyed a variety of activities both inside and out during the afternoon.
Wednesday 20th May - This afternoon saw the return of our St Alphonsus' Got Talent Show! All classes had completed their audition rounds and the afternoon saw the three finalists from each year group take part in the Grand Final! Special guest judges attended in the form of Mrs Simcock, Mrs Roberts and Waz our MUFC Foundation coach. All the acts were fantastic and well done to everybody who took part.
Friday 15th May - The whole school came together to celebrate a beautiful Crowning of Mary assembly, followed by a peaceful procession around the school grounds. Children, staff, and parents joined together in prayer and reflection as they made their way to the Mary shrine in our Peace Garden. The children showed great respect and reverence, carefully placing flowers at the shrine as a sign of love and devotion to Mary. It was a special occasion that strengthened our sense of community and faith, with parents warmly welcomed to share in the celebration alongside the school family.
Thursday 16th April - Today we held our annual TT Rockstars 'Battle of the Bands' competition. Years 2 - 6 took part and all had one hour to score as many correct answers as possible! The children were fantastic and will find out soon who the winners are!
Christmas Token Assembly
Throughout Advent, the children received Advent Tokens for their efforts in class. Today was our Christmas Assembly where the tokens were drawn, and the winners received prizes! Well done to all our prize winners!
