Breda Collins from the St Vincent de Paul Charity in Hulme collected our donations and thanked school for our contributions which made a positive difference to those in need in our community.

Sister Maura from The Daughters of Charity, kindly donated recycled Christmas cards for them to use in their art work. Monday 30th October - Trafford Council visited our school this morning and did a special assembly about litter. They talked to the children about making sure they put their litter in the bins, picking up litter when it’s safe to do and also about recycling. The children did a little quiz about which items go in which bins at their homes. We also get to keep Percy Penguin on our playground this week to put our rubbish in!

Our Eco-team collaborated with Year 6 and Afifah Islamic School to organise a litter pick in our local area. We collected litter on the path and areas between our schools. We want everyone to respect our community and if it is clean, people may decide to put their litter in the bin. If it is already littered, people might think it is acceptable to add their rubbish to it. We say NO! to littering our streets.
