We are going on a Shape Hunt! We had lots of fun finding different shapes in our environment.

Baptism - We have been learning about the Sacrament of Baptism and re-enacted our very own Baptism in Reception.

Bonfire Salt Paintings - We used the art technique of Salt Painting to create these vibrant firework pictures to celebrate Bonfire night!

Spooky Bat Halloween Treats - We followed instructions to mix, stir and melt the chocolate to make delicious spooky treats!

Learning through Play - The Reception children are developing their cognitive, physical and communication skills through play.

Autumn Fun - In Reception, the children have been learning all about Autumn. They have been reading 'The Leaf Thief' and making predictions about the text. They have been collecting Autumn leaves to create their own 'Leaf Family' picture.

Yoga - Reception enjoyed their Yoga session in the hall. The children enjoyed learning different yoga poses like the downward dog and tree pose and we finished the afternoon with some mindfulness meditation.

Open Afternoon - F2 welcomed their families into school to share their new classroom, explore the areas and introduce them to new friends formed.

Visit from the Nurse - F2 welcomed the district nurse into school to help them learn how to wash their hands and the importance of handwashing to keep germs away.

Settling in - F2 The children have been settling into F2 over the past few weeks. This time is invaluable as it enables the children to ease into their new setting slowly, finding their feet in their own time and enabling them to form friendships. We have had lots of fun exploring the different areas of the F2 classroom.
