Year 2
Year 2 have been working on a brilliant poem called Flicker. It is linked to our topic: The Great Fire of London.
🎶 The Year 2 children confidently recited the poem using expressive voices and clever actions, bringing the words to life with real flair.
🎶 They then worked collaboratively to find instruments that matched the theme and mood of each line—thinking carefully about how they sound.
🎶 Finally, they performed the piece beautifully, playing their chosen instruments at just the right moments and following their group’s graphic score carefully.
Mrs Grant and I are so proud of their efforts!
The children looked at Psalm 139:1-4 and discussed its meaning. They then listened to a song by Bernadette Farrell called ’O God, You Search Me’ which is based on this Psalm and created their own actions and responses to the words. Click here to see the video.
