Ahoy me hearties! Last half term F1 had a real pirate adventure! We sang and shared lots of fun pirate stories, sang pirate shanties and enjoyed playing and learning in all the pirate themed areas. We have read ‘Pirates Love Underpants’ and even had a visit from a real life pirate – Captain Flashypants! He took us on an exciting treasure hunt in search of the golden underpants! F1 ended their topic with a huge pirate celebration party with F2 as our special pirate mateys!
The F1 and F2 children enjoyed celebrating Chinese New Year!
What a fantastic autumn term we have had in nursery! We have been very busy, playing, learning, loving, caring and sharing in our F1 family. Playing alongside each other in all our learning areas, sharing our toys and resources. We have explored the themes of Autumn, Family, Day and Night and Ourselves. We have loved sharing many stories and texts including; ‘Wow Said the Owl’, ‘Squirrel’s Busy Day’, ‘Leaf Man’ and ‘Leaf Hunt’. What an amazing surprise when Beegu landed his spaceship in our playground and in our class on ‘Friendship Road’ in ‘Happy Town’. We all thought about what we would like to say to Beegu and wrote her messages. It’s now Christmas time and we are thinking of a very special family; Mary, Joseph and Baby Jesus. We celebrated this special story in our Nativity. Our class has turned to winter and we really had lots of fun at our Christmas Dinner and party.
F1 Enjoyed their first week in school....
